Carnevale Viareggio

On Sunday NYU went to Viareggio to Carnevale! The Viareggio celebrations are known world wide and is geared toward locals. I had the absolute best time.

Rebeka and I made it to the train station to meet our group just before 11 at the train station. It took about an hour and fifteen minutes to get there, and we basically just got to go out on our own and explore and hang out on the pier, etc (because Viareggio is on the beach!)
We walked up and down the street, bought some masks and soaked up as much of the Carnevale culture as we could. We even got to spend the sunset on the beach! It was just the best day.

It one was one of the most remarkably Italian things I could have ever experienced and I absolutely loved it.
